Chief of Police Posting - Egremont, MA

The Town of Egremont is seeking applicants for the position of Chief of Police. This is a fulltime forty (40) hour per week position. Additional hours may be required due to Town needs. This position performs law enforcement and other policing duties including patrol, investigation, traffic control, and a variety of other duties designed to preserve peace and order and to protect life and property in the Town. This position requires a High School Diploma or GED with six years of experience as a patrolman and three years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate must maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license, as well as possessing police officer firearms, CPR, and first aid certifications.
